Unfortunately my first and second experience was terrible. Following a car accident, I trusted the care of the "professionals" to help regain movement in a dislocated finger. I was in the process of explaining the extent of my injury when it was forced beyond its capacity - causing considerable pain. Whilst I had a reasonable degree of movement prior to treatment, it took a further two months to recover from the injuries sustained during the "treatment" I received. The lady treating me (Lia?), was rather adjusted to the sound of her own voice and failed to listen to anything pertaining to my needs - rather more interested in what she could sell. I doubt this person has any formal qualifications other than being arrogant and self absorbed. Service was extremely slow, the only quick matter resolved was burning an $80 hole in my pocket and leaving me worse for wear. This matter was reported to my local G.P and I am yet to decide as to making a formal complaint to the Medical Ombudsman. I had returned in the months since (in good faith) to purchase a universal finger extension brace and was met with the same arrogance and smug look - only to be informed that whilst universal, it would have to be "expertly" fitted and require another booking - total cost $160! I have opted to buy one online for $40 and save myself further injury. It might sound as if I'm a little bitter about the experience, trust me - it's for good reason.

Physiocare in Wangaratta has been my physio for several years now. Barb Binks is very experienced & professional. She can treat any part of your body, but has special expertise & experience in hand treatments. She is the only physio I have found to be sympathetic & accommodating to a middle aged, non-sporty woman, without being judgemental.

When I aggravated a protruding disc in my spine on my way to a 10 day music camp, my daughter made a Physiocare appointment and took me there. Acupuncture was suggested for a speedy fix, and I must say I was a little sceptical, never having tried it. The relief was instantaneous, and with expert advice from the physiotherapist, I headed off to camp. Thanks Physiocare - you're the best!

I have dealt with Physiocare Wangaratta for the last 6 years following 2 seperate and lifechanging injuries, and for family general issues. I have had a scapholunate dissociation and nasty shoulder rotator cuff injury involving 4 ligaments. Both situations required surgery and months of rehab and therapy. The practise principal Barb was my most frequent therapist who I found excellent, both from a therapy point of view and also monitoring my mental well being and keeping me going when things looked grim. The clinic is relaxed, hand group was a brilliant therapy in itself with all the other participants, and although there was pain and hard work involved in the therapy I have gained more function than was ever expected by surgeons and able to resume my principal occupation of clinical nursing. Barb has become a friend and support through this time. Cannot recommend the practise highly enough for Barb's hand therapist expertise.
